The heat treatment is one of the key factors in most metals and task they will be doing. So many times knifemakers go with formula's that are textbook and leave it at that. It seems William has decided to go the extra mile and not be in the Norm of knife makers. My hat is off to him for being bold enough to say the norm is not what he wants. Good points about finding things to sharpen it with. So many times people overlook the simple things in search of the holy grail of sharpening lol. My father could shapen a stick and skin a Buffalo on the run lol. His saying was always the stell makes a sound know it and focus on the sound not the angle so much. But he also owned 4 meat processing plants and did it 52 years. So he was a natural by the time I was born lol. Thanks for sharing .. ATB Mike

Swedish razor steel, yeea!

Kershaw originally got me hooked on the Sandvik version. Even with their less corrosion resistant heat treat I loved it. With some smaller shops doing some super steel nerd heat treats on it now, its just getting better.

I’d be curious to see how that knife performs and holds up here in the sub-Arctic boreal forest. Our trees are smaller, but super dense and hard. Be interested in how well it skins and butchers, too. Such a different looking pattern, but built with purpose. Thanks for sharing.
