MESA BOOGIE JP2C John Petrucci - In the Room

Trying out the JP2C in the Room. The series where I try and blend microphones to a point where it's a good representation of how a rig sounds like while being in the room. Obviously tone is subjective so even though I think it sounds like this in the room, doesn't mean that it's what you would enjoy.

Dude you have become my favorite youtuber and I dont even listen to that much metal anymore (except for the occasional spin of Chaos AD, Reign in Blood and Ride The Lightning). I really like that amp. I tried one at Sweetwater. It was even more expensive, because it some exotic wood panel. The dual EQ was really impressive. Then I discovered a Mesa Nomad100 which was more my price range. I use an Empress ParaEQ as a Global EQ in the FX loop and the Mesa's EQ as a lead boost. I like how the JP2C has midi and all those special modes. I have been using 12ay7 preamp tubes in V1 and V2 for awhile. It sounds great. I am going to order the Mesa 12ax7a tubes in the future to see how it sounds.
