Just a quick note.
*BEFORE* you buy replacement buttons, try cleaning your contacts with rubbing alcohol first,
That's a common problem, and the fix can save you the time of shipping and some money.

While doing this would it be a good idea to clean the button contacts on the motherboard with rubbing alcohol and a q-tip?

Thanks for the video. Got everything fixed and working fine now. Although I did have to do everything twice, the first time I didn't clean where the backings hit the motherboard off and so when I put it back together nothing was fixed. Second time I cleaned the motherboard contact area off with a q-tip and rubbing alcohol and everything works now.

Why, in the ever living hell, are you instructing people to remove the ribbon cable? It absolutely doesn't need to be removed to replace the rubber pads.

is it rly necesary to remobe the cables just for changing the rubbers? its a lot of work that can be avoided. or will the cable 'snap' somehow without the back case?

Thanks for the guide dude, it helped me repair my ds buttons without any problems. Except I thought it would also help repairing my R shoulder button that sometimes doesn't work, but I guess it must be something else that is making it faulty. either way thanks!

hey do u know how to repair the ds lite control pad? i have had it for about 6 yrs, and a few times i accidently dropped it, which probably did something to make the control pad not work. the up arrow control and the left arrow control dont work properly, because i have to press extremely hard to make it work, so can someone help me figure out how to fix this??

How is anyone else keeping the trigger button springs from popping out? Even a hair touch will pop the springs when i try to put the case on. It's my biggest hurdle and no one has a dedicated tutorial online
