Bit harsh on Pedro Pascal. He's a great actor (GoT, Prospect, Narcos, Mandalorian). The problem is the director asking for an over the top performance and him delivering. Hardly his fault.

Yes I did hear they had some reshoots Due to poor first initial Early screenings which Is why the movie was delayed for the first time. The following delays were eminent cause of *cough, but the first delay that this movie suffered was due to a couple of reshoots.

Did anyone else notice how much Green screen was being reflected off of Kristen wigg’s glasses in this movie? It was extremely distracting to me and the fact that no one else bothered to fix that in post is slightly embarrassing for a movie of this budget.

I feel like I might be the only person that likes this movie...the pacing and the weird Steve Trevor body takeover thingy were the only two things I didn't like. It felt very early 2000s to me in a good way.

this really was just "another superhero movie." Nothing special nor totally abysmal. The whole 80s setting felt unwarranted and by the time the film got to the third act, it was pretty messy and too illogical (wishing stone concept). I say that as someone who is not typically bothered by illogical stuff in action movies. Also, a lot could have been cut from the first hour (the mall scene in particular was almost too cheesy). The action was still decent (I really enjoyed the chase and the White House sequence)

This was a pretty fair review overall. Having grown up during the eighties, I found the nostalgia/cheesiness elements a little bit more charming than you did and would probably give it a slightly higher rating. Still, I can't disagree with any of your criticisms. The plot has several glaring problems and I think the writers should've made more of an effort to clean it up before release.

One issue in particular during the first half of the movie really messed with my suspension of disbelief. I just couldn't see how Kristen Wiig's character was supposed to be considered somehow unattractive or unlikable. I kept saying to myself, "So what if she was a little awkward or soft-spoken?"

Okay, maybe she isn't glamorous like Gal Gadot, but she was still funny, friendly, kind to homeless people, and seriously cute (bordering on hot). In what world does a girl like that not have dozens of guys just tripping over each other to ask her out on a date (and that's even before her makeover)?
