Good for him for sticking to 20 on the plane. That's a nice piece. Cooking with cast iron gives you your iron for good health. Mr steak restaurants, very popular in the 80s. Loved the flea market.

Love the show as always!❤ Cast iron.. its a great product and if cared for will last several "lifetimes"! No it doesn't make the food better, but cooking certain things on cast can produce a different result than using say "stainless" its also cool to have a pan that you know its 100+ years old.. and still 100% perfect to cook with. And as with anything else collecting certain things people just like!

The plane resembles the Spruce Goose built by the eccentric Howard Hughes

I’m from the area. As a family we’d go there every weekend in the 90’s. It was a busy place back then. I wondered what’s it like nowadays, looks like a good variety. The Newfane Flea Market, which is up the road a little, was a tad smaller but had a more old fashioned, almost county fair feel to it. Thanks for the nostalgia!

Do you think maybe you could do a video at Goodwill, you've mentioned it so often that it almost has a certain mystique about the wonders that can be found there at such low costs, even when compared to flea markets. I'd like to see some of those character glasses that they have, for example.

Those character drinking glasses were always fun to see. I don't think fast food restaurants do that anymore these days. Thanks.

For me with cast iron and the reasons I prefer the older ones, lighter to carry, smoother usually surface, hold there value, and nothing cooks like cast iron, easy and simple to care for. ✌🏻💚🙏🏻

When people say "well what will you give me for it?" I like to say "Well I can't buy it and sell it." I can't stand when people try to get you to put a price on their stuff. Good luck out there Tom! Thanks for the vids!

I'd have been interested in that cast iron booth, as I'd like to get some, as I move out of using old style "non-stick" substances. I have some ceramic pans, and stainless steel. The ceramic I have, not too expensive, is not so non-stick, though I've tried better brands I just don't own yet. Besides the "lasts for generations" aspect of cast iron...conducts heat well, is non-toxic, and I believe it's naturally a non-stick cooking surface. Heavy for sure, but doable. I'm in the market...and rather than buy some random knock- off online, (like "A") I'd rather find some at vintage flea markets like this, maybe with some kind of heritage, quality. How'd the one you bought or your mom bought work out? Looked like a good grill pan.

I collected cast iron and filipped the stuff back in the 1990s when few people were into it. I bought a skillet for $40 and flipped it on Ebay for $375 in the 90s. Cast iron made by Griswold Wapak with an indian with a head dress is molded on the bottom are very popular. I kept only a number 8 Griswald cast iron skillet for cooking. Cast iron is great for frying, but do not cook on high heat. I would suggest buying stuff for resale to feed your hobby when you attend markets, get educated on some things you like, but not interested in keeping which you can flip..

Everyone has some cast iron for sale and it is good but the care important and requires dedication. This too shall pass like vintage brown furniture. The fun of looking never ends.

That went by fast😢
I believe your mom was right about the Beatles picture coming from an album. Likely Magical Mystery Tour album. Goo Goo Kachoo.

The plane looks like things I see at TJMaxx. See so many rough cast or crude tin stuff there. Who knows.

There's nothing better than cast iron for cooking Griswold and Wagner are the two big names that you want to look for there is a catalog for both it cleans up so easily once you want to clean it all you do is rinse it off and hot water while the pants still hot no scrubbing it's important to season it with oil all the pot is hot you can accomplish a cleaning if you would just put some salt in the pan and rub it around I have a big collection of it and I love it you have to be careful because some of these so-called Griswolds and Wagner's are knockoffs from China

At about 3:32 or so I think he was saying, "You want to give me your money, you want to give me your money."
Old boomboxes are expensive because the ones made today all tend to have the same very cheap, very poorly made cassette mechanism with plenty of wow and flutter. Old ones are a must for good quality.
It was worth the drive because now you know what was there and you got out on a beautiful day. And you got that cool plane. Thanks for sharing this flea market with us.
