Dropping gems! Thank you for this timely and sobering picture of a reality that black people go through and most others deny even exist because it would disrupt the flow of privilege from which they so unapologetically benefit.

This was necessary and so helpful... especially for those who think or are encouraged to think that these issues are just made up. Thank you for letting us know that our feelings matter and that there are resources for us. Thank you!!

"Racial Battle Fatigue" - thanks for educating me and allowing me to put a name to this feeling. I feel this even in the most "innocent" types of conversations like when discussing scenes from black movies/shows that my non-black friends quote and recall.

Thank you for doing this, Ghyn! I know this was hard and draining. I see you, I support you, and I'm sending you love! <3

I see you Dr. Temple!! Give the culture what they need! And what you're doing is even more special because your rooted from the PNW and your profession with our culture isn't the most heavily represented this way so it's really like having a voice for the people up this way!

Now I like to the balance in life by understanding the extremes on both ends. So whole I absolutely agree systemic oppression is a REAL thing, this video made me immediately think of one thing and id love for you to give your perspective on a future video.

As much as systemic oppression is real...there's also a level of accountability that people of colour have to take accountability for ourselves. We have our own internal discrimination towards ourselves, both geographically and subculturally (i.e. black people up north...on the west coast ride together much differently than black people on the east coast and in the south.... Or as much as we MOSTLY joke about it, there is a good percentage of our own people who discriminate against shades of black; dark skinned, light skinned, afro Latina, Haitian, etc.) And it just seems to me like other cultures like the Jewish community and Asian community are on the same page wherever you go (more or less).

So how do you think (if at all) mental health due to years of oppression has developed this divide and what solutions would you propose?

I'm ready for the next post! Keep on keeping on!! 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I Agree to a certain extent Black people Hating each other over dumb s#"t is worst than racism from other races and biological families being disfuncinal is just as bad racism can't be blamed on everything that's going on in the black commuties

So good! I have to ask do you have resources, tips, or book recommendations for anger management that helps with dealing with anger caused by racism and other societal injustices?

It is a harsh reality for black people, and cruel. I am a woman so it affects me more, most racists would not dare to go up to my six foot brother and say anything dumb. So black women are usual targets of racism, even online hate speech. I'm also asexual and I only had tv actors as male crushes but in reality I have no sexual desire, I mean, white guys are usually better looking but it's so hard to actually talk to one. Jesus Christ told us to love our neighbours so don't let racism take you to hell, "Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way." Romans 14:13
