Amanda, lo love your choices. Patons Canadiana is an unsung hero. Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn is hard to beat. Another one I love is Vannas Choice. It is soft, washable and holds it shape so beautifully

I think the little splashes of colors in cakes just make the blankets look uniquely handmade.

I just started to crochet again and I have made several baby blankets. I love the finished products but I am disappointed after I machine wash and dry which I do before I gift them. I have used several manufacturers and they all seem to pill. Any suggestions?
