Are you self-sufficient? Will gold or Bitcoin help you get there? Thats exactly one of the reasons i stack it is the better alternative to having money losing value in a bank where you're controlled by their hours policies or actions

I think having some amount of self sufficiency is good for everybody and having that include gold seems quite practical to me. I personally think having gold is more practical than having cabbage. Cabbage doesn't exactly store well in the long term unless it's in the form of sauerkraut and not everyone wants to eat that like I do.

Bitcoin only has value if the electric grid is intact and functioning, the communication network is intact and functioning, and the servers needed to complete a transaction are intact and functioning. You also need to make the transaction where the government hasn't outlawed it.
