Hi DSR, such a great review of the bike, I've just passed my test at the age of 42 and ive got my kawasaki ninja 650 2020 performance being delivered next week. I'm 6'1 so was just wondering do you think it will be a good fit based on me being a inexperienced rider?

I am between this, the Z650, the CBR650R or the CB650R for a bike mainly for highway trips and sometimes commuting through heavy traffic. Any thoughts? :)

You cannot ride a 60+ HP 650cc bike with A2. Just to get it out there. Definitely NOT a beginner bike - A2 allows for 48 HP where I live, with a 'prescribed' power-to-weight ratio.

The Ninja 400 hits the exact specs for A2. So do the KTM Duke 390, the KTM rc390, the Honda CBR500 and basically any other recent bike in the 400 category. They're tailor-made for A2. Which sadly also means that anything stronger isn't ok anymore.
