Welcome to Ian to the BC ride leader family, nice to see a pre ride RA being done. It’s a great opportunity to check out any road closures etc and especially if we have had any bad weather such as flooding or any debris in the roads from storms. We also always carry first aid kit with us and do a pre bike check to ensure riders bikes are safe. Enjoy Ian.

The risk assessment for the bridges, should increase on the way back, especially if a rider takes a bit too much lubrication at the Dirty Duck, 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Nice ride Paul and Ian, very well done nice one.
Ill ride roads, across fields and through woodland, but im very wary riding canal toe paths close to water never have liked it even though there is some beautiful sights along canals. Have a great weekend.

Very disappointed in Roy and his Garmin Fiasco. How can you call yourself a "real cyclist" unless you look down at your head-unit every 2-3 seconds? 😂

I heard that the biggest risk on canal
paths is persons coming the other way around corners trying for Strava sections… hey Paul? 😏😂

We have gators & poisonous snakes in our canals. So what? It's just a part of being out in nature. A little water and algae isn't much risk, and if you guys think you can safe off the outdoors, you're missing the point. Leave the thorns on the roses, for those of us who are less faint of heart, please. Good music though...
