You call knit things crochet, but when you finally have a crochet item you call it knit (the first sweater)

Tip: anything mass produced by a company will always be knit, sometimes they'll say its crochet but you can not machine crochet. Its a lie and marketing tactic.
If it really is crochet, the person who hand made it did NOT get paid properly.
There are some knit stitches that *can* look crochet if you aren't a crocheter.
