10:40 - She is slightly wrong there. It doesn't fall because the original engineers noticed and adjusted for it... and also because modern engineers have fixed it once. It would have already fallen if not for being corrected. And it is still technically 'falling' (increasing tilt) since they haven't actually fully fixed it. They probably could... but then it wouldn't be leaning anymore.

10:41 This is a mistake, the leaning tower of Piza was not built like that it is actually a giant mistake. therefore, it shouldn't be praised. The tower was built on the ground that didn't have a firm foundation by the time they realized this, it was too late, so the city had to double back and add that balancing mentioned in this video. This means they went way over budget building the tower and why construction workers should not praise it. Besides all that amazing story, and please keep up the excellent work.

Just to point out a fact here.
I'm Italian and have learned my history of my culture all my life.
The leaning tower of Pisa was NOT designed to lean in the first place, the soil bed gradually degraded over time to cause it to lean, in fact there was a time in the late 90s that the degradation was so bad they refused to let people in the tower. I don't know if that was resolved yet due to I gave up on the concept of even visiting Italy in my life with how things are going for me.

But yeah, the tower is NOT that way by design.

I'm worried about the future of the construction company if they think the leaning tower of Pisa was made to lean.
It was a screwup aince they built it on soft ground so the tower atarted to lean over. Luckily for them it stopped and didn't fall over. In recent times, it has actually started to straighten out a bit.
