I really use to hate this method. Just seemed so corny to me back in the days. Now hit's are being made using this method at break neck speeds. Listen up.

Hits get made from using loops nowadays. What do you guys think about the loop packs etc. for music producers?

Loops help a lot with creativity both when you use them and when you create them yourself. Especially the latter.

I create samples for personal use in moments of inspiration, save them somewhere on the HDD and then completely forget about them. I use them at a much later stage and I get such interesting musical combinations that would not come to my mind if I try to invent these motives in the process of building the track.

Dope beat Bigg Vic. I usually make my beats from scratch. I see what you mean as far as saving time and making something unique from the loops. I try not to use loops like that as you said the probability of someone else using it is high.

Vic! I am a big Reason user as you are. I see you have been using Presonus Studio one Pro alot lately. I have Used Presonus as well but made Reason my main DAW. I left Pro Tools years ago for Presonus. Before Reason went VST, I had to use both Presonus and Reason.
Is there a particular reason why you are using Presonus lately? It is a killer DAW but just curious. I always like to hear others take on different DAWs

Beats are good my real question is melody making loops. This is we’re the problem a good idea is always good. But when you’re creating something for yourself I feel it’s always good to put your own flavor in it.

I find great personal satisfaction from making my own loops. I feel I've learned extremely valuable things from making my own loops. Of course, I hear loops that are absolute fire and sometimes I'll use a loop, if it's a contest that requires me to use their loops to enter the contest. But I never just use the loop in its entirety or just change the pitch. I chop it up, reverse it...throw it in Grain. I'll do what ever I can creatively to make the loop my own. But to just straight up use a loop as is? To me, that's just putting a puzzle together. It doesn't require a lot of skill.

These days we have to utilize all of our assets! I prefer to make everything from scratch but some of those loops trigger inspiration!

I just started using loops. I felt like you and many more music producers I did not want to use a loop and later hear someone who use the same loop with thier music sounding similar. I take the loops and change the keys and rearrange them add effects and make them new loops. There are various music apps like PEEL...The SAUCE..Shaperbox 2...etc where you can manipulate the sample and create something new. The young generation of music composer today already caught on to it and mostly have mastered it.

It took some time to adjust to using loops, it's like crate digging if you have splice or loop cloud. I made two dope Funk beats using a loop. Album is coming along.

every loop is a drum kit in Reason in the rex player. Wish they brought back the original rex player though.
