Malcolm has grown up in privilege and has grown to be inconsiderate and unthinking about the needs and feelings of others. His mother, in particular, has become annoying to him, as he finds her to be needy and clingy. Malcolm just wants to be left alone. As the viewer witnesses the therapy session first-hand, the specifics of Malcolm's behaviors and thoughts become clear, including details like his flat and affectless speech and his lack of interest in sex or personal relationships. The learner is given an opportunity to use these details to detect symptoms and apply them to make a diagnosis.

Oh boy, my favourite. Neurotypicals drumming up people that don't fit into the mold of society as being fundamentally disturbing or wrong.

I almost laughed. I feel a lot better about it now knowing this was acted.

More like 32. And not schizoid in the slightest. He's a paid actor, right?

"Malcolm has grown up in privilege and has grown to be inconsiderate and unthinking about the needs and feelings of others"

This seems, to me, to be an obnoxious and judgmental way to talk about someone with a personality disorder that has so little impact on the people around them

Now you're supposed to look uncomfortable because you're here now? Cause that what schizoid people do?

First off, we're not freaks, second of all, the reason we choose not to socialize is to lose the person, they created a bond with, because of our overwhelmingly abusive attention craving. We subconsciously realize that we have have that attitude. So this makes me question as a Schizoid, why would you stop talking to the girl you created a bond with when you lack attention and crave it?
