Celtic have agreed a deal worth £9.5m for Adam Idah to join the club on a permanent basis.

The Irish striker looks set to return to Celtic Park after his successful loan spell last season, where he scored 9 goals helping to fire the Hoops to a League and Cup double.

Option to but on a loan deal is a must, if it doesn’t work out he goes home but if it does like in this case you snap him up before they can inflate the price. Lesson learnt hopefully but I’m happy to have the big fella back

... finally! Now, please get in a quality centre-back; a quality left-back; a quality winger - at the very least. Otherwise our chance of getting into the knock-out rounds of the CL will range from slim to zero. Plus, a major clear-out of the players collecting salaries for either permanently warming the bench or not even being good enough to be considered for the match-day squad. Thanks again Paul. Good effort. In terms of fees you win some you lose some. Norwich have done exactly what we are doing with O’Reilly. Can’t complain. This is all on the board. Both this deal and Barnardo should have been completed in the first 2 weeks of the window allowing us to concentrate on other areas. Hope I am wrong but I can see maximum one more permanent deal and a loan closer to the window closing. Can’t see us getting in a CB unless one of the others is sold. The board should be thanking their lucky stars that we have BR at the club and he is moulding a great looking outfit otherwise this situation would get ugly.

We overpaid a wee bit aye but he was crucial for us at the tail end of last season he scored huge goals and even won us the cup, we aren't just paying for his ability it's also his age he's only 23 and the fact he plays fairly regularly for Ireland as well so he's a full international, also if you add the players we have sold in the last 12 to 18 months and also the UCL cash your sitting on about 66 million quid that's not even accounting for season tickets and shirt sales either, 8.5 rising to 9.5 in the grand scheme of things is nothing to our bank balance it's about time we spent a bit now let's hope we go and improve the other areas of the squad 🍀💚
