Different Realities: How we see ourselves vs. How others see us!

Wow. This helps a lot. I've always thought that I was the ugliest person ever. I'm always pointing out my flaws, and thinking about how awful I look, which tends to make my day ten times more difficult because I'm constantly worried about what others think.

I have always been curious about how I look to others and suspected that it might be different than the way I appear to myself. We tend to see our flaws while others see what is beautiful.

We used this video during Family Life in school, to learn about how we are not bad people, and to see ourselves in positive light when our brains are releasing those hormones that don't make us feel good.

Sad how we are so critical of ourselves. That means we are critical of others too! Be more loving to yourself and watch for miracles.
Look in the mirror deep into your eyes and say, I love you (your name). It can be hard at first but the more you do it the more loving you will become to you and others around you.

Watched this video during advisory last year as one of our lessons with a teacher I’ll always remember Mrs. Lau, the message is so strong here and I’m glad I got to see and learn with her and my friends in that class. ❤️
