By order of Kaikeyi on behalf of Maharaja Dasharatha, Rama has to move to exile for 14 years. Rama reaches the palace of Kausalya Devi to seek her permission and blessings for his exile. Rama reaches Kausalya’s palace and sees his mother. In this Sarga, the dialogue between mother Kausalya and son Rama is narrated. Kausalya Devi gets very sad when she learns about Rama's exile.
