Shoulder Pain Relief Stretches – 5 Minute Real Time Routine

In general when stretching the shoulders, you should hold most stretches for 30 seconds, and do them 3 times. Sometimes you might not have enough time to go through your whole routine, which can be time consuming. If you are in a hurry, still hold the shoulder stretches for 30 seconds, but do less reps.

A quick warm up will help warm up and loosen the shoulder muscles to help get them going.

A great way to stretch the shoulder is by stretching out the joint capsule. You can stretch the posterior capsule or a cross arm stretch, and you can stretch the inferior capsule with a triceps stretch.


Also, stretching some of your rotator cuff muscles, like the subscapularis may help relieve the shoulder pain. If going into external rotation of your shoulder is painful, you can modify this stretch.


Finally, a chest or pec stretch and an upper trap stretch will help the shoulder and neck areas.

I LOVE THIS WOMAN!! I was thinking about going to a chiropractor because I always felt this pain when lifting in my upper shoulder but man, that rotator cuff stretch is great.

After having a heavy benchpress session my shoulders were feeling really tight and uncomfortable. I was about to sleep but my shoulders were bothering me like crazy. When I watched this video not only did is relived my shoulder, I feel way better on my upper back and chest. This is the best video I’ve seen so far and I’m happy that you posted this because now I can go to sleep without any pain!

I hurt my shoulders by staying in my bed and playing mobile games for 7 hrs, I hope this exercise is gonna help

I'm at work with bad shoulder pain, so I don't have the ability to do anything more than 5 minutes. This helped a lot! Still a bit painful of course, but now I can turn my head without feeling like I'm gonna cry haha

Hurt my shoulder working out a few days ago and this immediately relieved my pain! Wish I would’ve done this sooner! I’ll definitely keep these stretches filed deep in my brain for future injuries!!
