DevSCA Speaker Series February 2024: Gale Sinatra & Susan Clayton

Gale researches motivation, emotion, and conceptual change and learning, and she has written about science denial. Susan researches people’s relationship with nature and has written on the effects of climate change on mental health and developed a scale to assess climate anxiety. Both of our speakers have a wealth of experience on climate change and its impacts, and they had important roles in the APA Task Force on Climate Change and were involved as experts in writing influential reports about these issues for the public. In this meeting, we heard from them about their experiences in this communication and advocacy work and what impact their reports have had since.
