2 Stroke powerband still gives me chills when it hits. That sound and the smell of burning synthetic oil is bliss...

I hadn't ridden in 25 yrs. My kids bought me a call 1985 cr125 for fathers day 2020. After getting used to it I blew it up. I'm having to bore it 1mm over. I'm planning on putting Bigger jets put in it and running only 101 octane in it. I haven't it back together yet. I'm excited to see if it's gonna kick ass. I'm 51 yrs old and weak on one side from a stroke. I hope I can ride it.

Pay attention people lol!!! The 250 2stroke is roosting way harder in 1&2, because its trying to put more power to the ground! It really was coming down to traction! 2 strokes for

The two stroke was struggling to get traction but the little 250f surprised me a bit. Thought the 2 would have walked out quicker than it did. I’d think on a different surface the story would be quite a bit different. This goes without saying but rider makes more difference than any other variables. Good video✌🏻

Thank You for posting, most other channels do not give an honest apple to apple test. I have owned Both and just like the 2-stroke more than the 4-stroke. But the Sound of a 2 stroke with a good pipe brings tears to my eyes.

The 2 stroke performed as expected. Flawlessly.

I’ve been riding 4 strokes since I was 9 (16 now) and I’m happy to say I’m switching over to the 2 stroke life

First time in a while I've seen 2 riders of equal skill level go at it with the extra 2 stroke power being the only real difference

Its amazing how far the 4 strokes have come...from being extremely gutless in the 70s to close to the performance of the 2 stokes CC to CC. Im a old 2 stroke guy but the modern 4s aren't giving much up other than sound. The 450s are crazy powerful

Great video but lots of ignorance in the comments, so I'll try to clarify. A 250 2 stroke has ports (holes) in the cylinder to somewhere around a third of the way up (depends on the powervalve opening). These ports only allow the engine to compress about 2/3 rds of the engines total volume, around 170 cc. The 2 stroke fires twice as often as the four stroke so 170 x 2 = 340 cc's. Therefore, a supercross 250 2t and a KTM 350 sxf are a good race.

Ngl that kx250f held its own better than i thought it would

2 strokes ftw but they are harder to drive since all that power comes instantly.
4 strokes are easier to drive since the power is more evenly distributed on both low and high RPM's.

It's a given that the T on short distance is king but the F will have long haul title. Both are excellent for tearing it up though. The U.S. Army went with the F model for the noise factor in our recon units. We had a world class training area behind the old division headquarters at ft.Bragg in the 82nd Airborne division.

Gotta love the low-end grunt and linear power delivery of a 4-stroke.
