Money invested will always earn you more money which the bank won't give you for saving your money in the bank

I generally don't like Bill Ackman, but his investment thesis is solid, especially the bit about investing in the US rather than abroad in foreign stocks

Hedging is only needed if you want to try and achieve consistent returns each quarter or year (15%, 15%, 15%...). There's nothing wrong with taking the simpler approach of buying into good companies and averaging down if you're early or market conditions change, it just creates more instability but can equal or outperform a more consistent approach (20%, 5%, 17%, 9%, 12%, 25%...). Better performance some years because you averaged down the previous. I've been doing this for about 6 years now and it's been great.

I wonder what the best opportunities to invest now are, there are opinions but a little later I find out these opinions don't matter as a totally different turn of events play out with the stocks they discussed therein...

Hey Joseph can you make a video analyzing Tesla? I would love to see your view and opinion!

Hey man love your videos! Can you please tell us from where you get the needed information about the business of the company you are reserching. The financials like revenue, free cash flow etc. can be found in q 1 to 3 and 10 k, but how can I found out that netflix is putting more original content than all it's competitors or that it's the streaming services that has the least people unsubscribing. Thank you very much!

Great video Joseph!

I read through some comments to this video and I am surprised at how some individuals get so aggressive towards information and at who is presenting it.

I loved the points where you agreed with the investment, also where you stated you bought in at to high of a price, at least in the short term. I love the transparency and truly appreciate your style of teaching and presenting.

Keep up the great work.

Joseph, you should really look into Tesla stock. If you think Amazon is undervalued at a 60 trailing P/E ratio, Tesla should show even MORE undervalued than Amazon! Their revenue and EPS growth is unbelievable.

Cable TV is €12, 50 in my country. Netflix €8 to €16. Most of the content on both is shit. The Netflix recommendation system does not help me find good content on Netflix.

These hedge funds could be fully invested in individual stocks during these tough times is because of their hedges, either buying cover calls or puts. Without it, the risk is just too much. It's like head I win, tail I don't loose much.

Asset class diversification is (for me) an important part of reducing risk (aka hedging): Commodities, REITs, Treasuries (corporate bonds aren't as effective), small cap value. A little international. Never been interested in derivatives or shorting.
