What was God's Relationship with the Nations Outside the Near East?

The Deuteronomy 32 Worldview is supposed to include all the nations that the biblical authors knew, and beyond. Like the Great Commission, it implies that every nation outside Israel is under the dominion of some other god, and the true God wants to reclaim it. Check this out!

I keep going back and forth with the flood whether it was global or local. I don’t really know.

The Flood has to have been global in order for mountains to be underwater, and that’s not even mentioning the sedimentary mega-sequences on every continent.

I would think, given the fact that peoples everywhere were worshipping unseen supernatural entities; that those entities were sons of God as per Duet. 32:8-9.

Mike was truly a scholar. However, in defense of biblical truth, all other nations would be / are to be blessed through Christ, not Israel.

Israel not only forfeited their “status” as unique among the nations, but became exactly like them and were in need of God’s mercy through Jesus just the same.

This preference and deference given to Israel is unfounded in the New Testament. It is based on a faulty exegesis of God’s messianic promise to Abraham mixed with many years of misunderstanding of the nature, timing, content and purpose of the eternal kingdom.
