I was in IT for almost 23 years. Updates are supposed to be tested in a test environment before being pushed out. Not only that, any software should be pushed out incrementally. Not one big push to all computers using their software. I don’t have all the details on what exactly happened but I do know for a fact the software should have been thoroughly tested and validated
