Notice a lot of those apps were Google apps so unfair. Try opening ten games and you will see the iPhone is much faster. Then test the frame rates to see how the 6p is throttled after playing for a few mins. Or do some web browsing and see how fast the iPhone is. Or measure download and upload speeds, say download 50 songs for off line use in Spotify. These are real tests, not a bunch of Google apps! Very bias test, worth checking out some fairer tests on other YouTube sites as they don't use Google apps optimised for Android.

I don't live by benchmarks, I live in the real world, and I can testify that the 6P is lightning fast.  As a daily driver, it's hard to beat, benchmarks be damned.

Android used to be all about benchmarks and Apple used to be all about real-world performance. So I guess the fanboys have reversed their roles now?

The test is not fair at all. Look at the size of the YouTube app on the apple App Store and you'll see that it's about 41Mb now look at the android version and it's 14Mb. HUGE difference and I feel like that plays a huge role in all of this. Since iOS is more optimized I'm sure they feel that they can add a lot more to the app as opposed to the android version where they want to play it safe and make the app as light as possible.

You sure no apps were running in the background? I see a the google music app running, do you force close all apps before doing these tests? Also one has a sim with wifi and the other doesn't. These factors do affect performance to a degree.

6s Plus is the fastest phone on the planet. The entire 'real world' gap was basically because of the Google+ app on the iPhone. Prior to that it was about a tie.

This is technically not correct because this test does indeed test the speed of the device but normal consumers do not open and close an app in 5 secs and open a new one. So therefore both phones are equally fast

i like the fact that you like the did "real world" testing and not just benchmark testing which any company can do for customers.

*sigh* when you declare one phone "faster" because its animations are shorter and its apps are written and compiled differently, you can't honestly expect you to be taken seriously right? Do something that is more comparable in both devices- exporting video for example.

Interesting results!
Could you compare the surface 3 with the iPad Pro?

As with all android phones, let's see how the 6P fares in speed to the 6S after 6 laggy android.

So many butt hurt fandroids in the comments. Yeeesh, it's just a phone. Get over it. This is no way affects your life. People care too much about what other people use to call each other.

Well you have to check which phones kept the apps running in the background. If the 6P closes them and the IPhone runs em it's a given it will be faster.

Nice video. My 6 plus stutters a lot too when my iphone 5 didn't. i guess it's just bad software optimisation for larger screens.

Nice video!
You are not biased and I appreciate that!

Have you thought of comparing the Nexus 5X vs the One Plus X? Both obviously budget phones, but does more affordable mean less performance?
