In the Realm of the Iberian Lynx: Spain's Majestic Wild Cat 4K

Once teetering on the brink of extinction with fewer than 100 individuals in the wild, the Iberian Lynx population has impressively rebounded to over 1,600 in 2023, thanks to the tireless efforts of conservationists.

In the heart of Central Spain at the Peñalajo estate, we waited patiently for hours in hides to capture breathtaking footage of the Iberian Lynx in its natural setting. The simplicity of the setting contrasts with the extraordinary allure of these felines, their striking patterns, iconic "sideburns", and unforgettable tufts.

Filmed during June and July 2023 at the Peñalajo estate in Castilla-La Mancha in Spain, where conservation efforts have turned this area into one of the best place in the world to see and photograph these cats.
