This channel provides unmatched review integrity. I follow many great reviewers. But the consideration and depth this channel puts into their testing and conclusions is unseen anywhere on YouTube.

Ive purchased some 20 olight flashlights now for myself and as gifts. 0 failures and everyone impresses me. Even my womans mini and i mean mini Keychain light recharges with usb c. Have 3 lights for myself 1 mounted in my truck, 1 in my house and 1 in my pocket. Reliable.

I've been using Olight flashlights for several years now, solid platform. Thanks for your work.

As always an excellent presentation. I have used all makes and sizes and love your testing methodology. I have various EDC and general flashlights and settled on Fenix due to availability and price in NZ. I use these in various models for Search and Rescue and can say that LED's and the battery technology has revolutionised flashlight use in Search and Rescue. Your video is excellent in explanation and recommendations! Yet again - ACC knocks it out of the park!

Thanks for the review. I do a lot of traveling for work and reachable flashlights is essential because I don't have time to go shopping for batteries. I will have to look into the Olite but at a cheaper option because a few flashlights did not come back.

Big thanks to Rob and the crew! For someone new to the trades, like me, your work has been a major help

You guys deserve more subscribers! I've been a fan of Fenix for awhile now, but it's good to know there are other good options out there.

I have the Fenix model you reviewed and really like it. Great head to head. The Fenix does offer a battery indicator, it’s an led around the side button that illuminates for 3 seconds after you turn it on; the color (green or red) and solid or flashing indicates the state of charge. Not as intuitive as the battery / output indicators on the other flashlight (Nitecore?) but still useful. I liked the Olight but the proprietary charger is a deal killer for me. A USB-C cable is easily found and replaced. Regarding price, Fenix offers a 20% discount to first responders, active duty and retired military, and teachers.

I love the Coast XPH30R headlamp because I prefer to work hands free. It's nice and bright and seems really high quality.

I've been using that exact same Streamlight since 2018 and give it a "C" grade for general use and a "F" grade for tactical use.

Here are the issues I've had over the years: 1) fails to turn on about once every 50 times it's powered on, 2) batteries get REALLY hot when charging sometimes, 3) batteries are surprisingly hard to find, 4) doesn't tail-stand very well.

The first issue completely ruins the flashlights reliability. Can be temporarily fixed by unscrewing the tail cap and screwing it back on again.

My suggestion would be to buy one with the on/off button on the bottom. I have one with the button on the grip, and it's terrible. You either accidentally turn it off while holding it, and it's a pain in the ass finding the button to turn it back on.

Sometimes a very nice light just doesn't come with a buil-in usb-c port. I use cells with a usb-c port built in. Good enough in my opinion.

Would like to have seen where Coast flashlight would have ranked?

Am a flashlight nerd, lots of good stuff out there, my Olight maurader is my go to dog hiking light. Also carry the original batton in copper as edc. They work, are reliable, and take shit and abuse.
But flashlights like many other things are a too each their own type item. However they better work when you need them!
