You mentioned that it's 4x4' size when matured. I've seen them usually reported as 6-8' tall & wide, some even go beyond 10' tall.

Hi! Nice video! I live in N CA zone 9b and I just picked one up at Home Depot yesterday. I’m trying to learn more about this plant so I know the best place in my yard to plant it. I learned that there are about 60 varieties of the cal lilac and the sticker on my pot does not say which one it is. It just says California Lilac Ceanothus. I am curious if this one can be trained to be like a tree or if it is specifically a bush. It has very dark glossy green serrated edge leaves. Also not sure how much sun it can handle. Any advice is appreciated!

Iv had a few ceanothus and i have moved house a lot
Dont know what the name is of the variety i like best
Its dense very deep green glossy leaves annd a slightly archibg frowing habbit
Others ive bought are spikey looking growth not veey dense bush more airy
Im not keen on that one
I want to buy ut again but want the right one
Do u know the difference between the growing habit of concha and victoria
The one i have atm is ugly and its also havibg issues with brown stems which are dead so im removing them
Not had that before
