Fun Fact: The Kona is named Kauai in portuguese speaking countries because „Kona“ is the portuguese name for the genital of a woman

Woah, never expected you to be in my home town.. let alone, in an area I recognize?! That's awesome! I live right around the corner from here. Travel this road fairly often, to get to IAG Performance. You should give them a visit, while you're in town! Fun fact: at 4:47, that driveway and house on the left is Cal Ripken Jr's house.

The current Kona EV has 291 pound feet of torque. They definitely downgraded the power a lot for this year.

Thats freaking awesome that u can still light up the wheel i was hoping someone would test that like the old kona, i might actually go for this one facelift with 200 hp

From my experience with Hyundai/Kia EV's is that they undershoot their range estimates. When I was driving the Kia EV6 AWD I got 4.0 KWH. Even though it's rated for 3.2 KWH. What that essentially means is that its more efficient than what its rated for.

Hope and pray Hyundai and Kia will be the ev leader for the middle class and sensible young family markets. Do you really need an expensive car like Tesla for day to day or office commute?

I find the doom and gloom about EV’s to be exaggerated. Once these performance EV’s take off (whoever develops an “affordable” one first) all the ice guys will end up like the manual purest. It’ll just be a different audience that comes into the scene. We all know that specs outweigh driving dynamics. People will throw that “soul” and “feeling” stuff out the window once they see those performance numbers.

I see the 2023 is only available in select states. Will that also be the case for the 2024? In Michigan here, and would definitely give it consideration. I see it as a nice Bolt alternative now that they aren't being made, for not much more money in the base trim.

Does a FWD electric car like this have any torque steer effect?

Nice overview video. It was so refreshing having you ignore the "entertainment" screen. Too many reviewers obsess over the "flash" and minimize what is needed to just drive the car, i.e., the front of driver screen.

When is the kona n line video coming out?
I’m thinking between a 2023 or 2024

Glad to hear that they left the right foot “squeakies” in place. Fun!

This might be inspiration for the ioniq 7

Would slightly wider and stickier tires help the 0-60 ?

my biggest question is, does this car have fast charging because the first generation did not

I’m tired of people always complaining about range. 261 miles is more than enough if you don’t travel a lot. If you intend on taking long road trips or if you drive a lot, don’t buy an EV. They’re not ready for that yet.
