technicaly, napoleon asked several time peace with britain, they never wanted a french domination over europe, so saying "accepted peace" is not very true

Honestly the best Napoleonic Alt History video on YouTube. You back up your scenario with data and numbers and that's something really unique in comparison with other videos.

If you ever plan on doing a second part (or a similar scenario) i would love to see a French Empire at full strenght, y'know like, Spain pacified, Portugal divided, Naples and Italy merged, the Conf. of the Rhine still in place, the G.D of Lithuania restored and other real plans Napoleon had. Keep up the good work, it is honestly head and shoulder above 95% of videos of the genre.

Great video, love the scenario. Even if this Frankfurt Proposals was a trick, the british would have never accepted a french west of the rhine, as you said but these so called natural borders were in fact France's borders before the revolution. Napoleon understood that, thats why he refused the proposal. The austrian did that so that they could claim Napoleon was the warmonger by refusing peace. And of course Napoleon could not accept such a humiliating peace.

But still, great job with this video !

With France in control of the Rhineland, two things would occur: either one: they'll support either Austria or Prussia in unifying Germany, or two, France would oppose unification, fearing that it's Rhineland territories would be the next target in a future war.

Either way, the unification of Germany and Italy would be prolonged by a much stronger France.

And ... what if we stopped blaming him for wars that started in 1792, when he was a lieutenant ? The Coalition powers were never serious in their offers of peace, as their aim was a Bourbon restoration. Consequently, the only relative periods of peace were when he defeated them. And no sooner was he in exile in 1814, than the UK, Bourbon France, and Austria signed a secret alliance against Russia and Prussia*, while France's former allies among the German states, Denmark, much of Italy, Switzerland and Poland, not forgetting modern day Belgium, Catalonia, and so on, began to boil over against the "victors", and become an endless supply of material for the literary works of the Romantic Era.

*On returning to France, the Emperor found a copy of the treaty (forgetten by Louis XVIII and co. in their haste), and sent one to Tsar Alexander and King Friedrich-Wilhelm.

I can’t help but raise my eyebrows considering the fact that Napoleon took peace pretty much every time he could. It’s only the UK that always refused to negotiate.

Depends when he accepted them, best offer he'd only lose the Illyrian territory and Poland (maybe loss of influence over Germany too?). I can understand why he didn't accept the intial offer, he was able to raise a massive army fairly quickly and had previously beaten Prussia and Russia before, he was even winning at the beginning of the war before deciding to call a truce. So despite his 'Marie Louises' he was actually in a pretty good position and could have won the war early on.

Very nice video. Only questionable thing perhpas is how he would`ve grown to be older. Agreed he might have postponed it a couple of years. However he had cancer (at least according to most sources). I doubt he would've gained another 2 decades. Otherwise, great alternate history :)
