What if the United States Lost the Revolution?

What if the United States lost the revolution against Britain? What if the US stayed apart of the British Empire and remained colonies? This is a question which many people have always pondered, and as American it affects everything in my society. So what would change in this new world? Not surprisingly, a lot.

This is not a absolute 100% prediction of what might have been, it is only a exercise of Alternate History. This is a remake of one of my old scenarios. Hope you enjoy!

We would be drinking hot tea instead of sweet tea.

Well Canada and Eastern USA were both "British America" so if the revolution never happened, then Canada and USA would probably be just one country and part of the British commonwealth once independence was gained.

what if Paul Revere would have fallen off the horse

Say what you want, but when Brits and Americans get together, it's a pretty fucking OP team

The question posed is "what if the US LOST the revolution" but the whole video is about the US never revolting in the first place. If the US lost the revolution, it would be even different from what the video suggested.

The Slavery Abolition of Act of 1833 outlawed slavery in all of the British empire. No mention of that?

The British could have smashed them if they weren't fighting France

I feel like with how far this channel has come this episode deserves a reboot. There's so much more you could expand upon that I'd love to hear your take on.

We would become independent in any Situation. Many British colonies became their own nation over time.
The British simply let go of them and they became their own country. I think, that's what would have happened.

I think if America lost the war, *America* and *Canada* would most likely be one nation today. And we will be the largest country in that case. America's military strength and economy plus Canada's oil reserves and TON's of extra land to grow our population in...

We are looking at a self sustaining global powerhouse that can take on rest of the world in a war. (if needed)

The country will be called *U.S.Eh?*

*EDIT*: Also what I did not mention in my comment was the US flag would still be the same,  except instead of Stars there would be Maple Leafs and we would have a couple more Maple Leafs on the flag to represent the Canadian provinces that would become states.

I like this one! A lot of these alternate histories have limited effects aside from the most obvious ones, but this one really has some major ripple effects that are plausible.

I really just don't understand why everyone hates America.?. because of pride in their nationalities..? That's fine I don't mind that at all, but as I've served in the military over here it doesn't make any sense to me why people think America is responsible for all the bad in the world, it's illogical. I mean yeah we messed up here and there but what country hasn't? we've also done a lot of good in the world too, don't discredit that.

Other than the fact that Star Wars would probably have not been invented, I would be fine with living under a British America.

Alaska isn't sold and Russia expands, eventually finding oil.

Mexico (possibly still Spanish) finds gold in California.

Tensions are high between the French (Louisiana Purchase), British (Canada, Oregon and Washington) and Spanish and a war breaks out over what we call the American West.

well historically speaking, The US almost did lose the revolution anyways, the French sending support was a shaky deal anyways, so the US losing was actually very plausible...
