Jesus before the Sanhedrin | Luke 22 : 63 - 71.

Jesus was the Christ, the Messiah, the Blessed and Anointed One of God. He was both man and God; man, wheezing for breath and squirming excruciating pain; and also the Son of God, paying for our wrongdoing and vanquishing Satan.
Jesus' encounter with the Sanhedrin represented a clash between the principles of man and God. The priest and scribes honestly believed they were doing God a service by getting rid of Jesus. How wrong they were! They did not fully comprehend the mysteries of God.
