You have to hand it to Conservative Governor DeSantis, who ordered an evacuation of 5 Million in harms way and saved thier lives in Tampa, St Pete which did flood from the storm. A good sailor at any rate, he made the call and orderd the necessary measures for 2 days in a Travel Industry destination state before Christmas season. The weather is impossible to control in this age anyways. Bravo Zulu Our military and Guard performed flawlessly with no casiualties. The standing water is an excellent conductor and again the land in Florida is sand, and soggy until Monday with the clear skies predicted in Tampa. 60s tonight in the Bay Area. A proper Utility crew can de water a pond along any power lines pathways.

I know Florida needs Governor Desantis' leadership but we need his leadership at a federal level. He is an amazing leader that has ALL his citizen's interests at heart. Leaving crane operators to their "common sense" is a dumb answer. Here we are with 7 days of major hurricane warning and yet the crane remained in place. Clearly, CLEARLY, common sense did not prevail. Saying we should continue to rely on this method is passing the buck.
