In reality income (wages) for probably 90% of the workers never keeps up if you look at what the $ buys you. Your example of the cost of the Titanic shows that! As a kid gas was 19 cents a gallon and you could buy just about any car for under $3, 000. I could buy 57 Chevys all day long for $300.

A general thought that I get every time hear that markets will continue to grow, is that you can't grow forever. There will be a top. That could mean a lot of power in fewer and fewer companies or a general wealth. But there are limits to grow. And we are not there yet, but in the next 50 years who knows? And when you speak about America, you forget that civilizations like romans, and soviet union, and other enormous, didn't last forever. They came to an end. This trust is due to a long period of peace and prosperity. Science discoveries ect. But to me if you want to be happy with your long term investments, you should Just pick those companies that you think will survive the dismantle of your country. And I don't think wall steet, piazza affari, and so on, are designed for this. So as you say, don't invest money you can't loose.

It's so funny because I give those examples regarding ASML stock.
Yet, Intel & Cisco never got back 23 years later.
Microsoft took about 14 years, and ASML took about 12 years...
The list can go on and on.

They were a great company, but the stock price was overvalued.

For nvidia to fall to $50 the world will have to be in shambles. We're on the edge of shambles now and it's $180. If it falls to $50 it will have less to do with your "value investing" philosophy and more to do with its financial performance and the overall economy. The "value investing" philosophy only makes sense if the company eventually comes into that value range. If it never does... well, then either your assumptions are wrong or it was never over valued at its bottom.

Low volume won’t mean much in current market environment, after the huge fall people have gone indifferent towards equity and may be there is a low volume on all major tech stocks overall. Long term investors don’t see a meaning in getting out of Big Tech after so much of a fall and people on sidelines are too scared to get in having seen the kind of fall that has happened hence low volume overall on Tech !!
