Talk about underrated players. Him getting sent off against Arsenal and missing the Barca final was a big deal at the time. I never really regarded him that highly, it's hard to anyone next to Scholes but as a more mature fan I can appreciate him and what he did more.

I used to always defend Fletcher in high school. Fantastic midfielder, and not iust because of his work rate. Genuinely great player with fantastic technique and passing ability.

Look at the Everton volley. Or go back and watch the pass he plays to Nani before Berbatov's bicycle kick against Liverpool.
