Most the time I or friends have looked at buying car it's dead on reserve. I think £30 is more than enough especially considering you're paying to have it cleaned for them it shows your actually care about your car and you're a decent person

Sold my 2011 4.4 tdv8 to buy a new Defender. Worst decision. The tdv8 was far more reliable over 6 years than 6 months with the Defender. Currently back at dealer for 3 months waiting for a part. Insane. I think you’ll regret that sale 😂. I’ll probably end up selling the Defender and buying a 5L L322 ❤

They're great cars, IF you get a good one. I always sell my motors fully valeted, detailed, I used to do it myself now I've got a reasonable local guy who takes it to another level. Depending on the car, £10-50 worth of fuel is appropriate.

You've done what I did with my Honda HRV. When I bought it, it was very shabby with quite a few faults. Over the seven years I owned it, all the issues wer sorted, including four new tyres, which hardly wore over that time. I've taken on my father's Vauxhall Astra J, which may be newer, but it just doesn't grab my heart in the same way. If my parents sold their SLK & had the Astra back, I'd buy another HRV in a heartbeat. I'm sure you'll have another L322 when it's time for the BMW to go back. 😊

I've never had a brand new car with more than half a tank of petrol, and your cleaning it, you're a soft touch young lady if I'm aloud to say that nowadays.

Hi Lucy When I bought my 55 plate L322 3.0 BMW engine car I hardly had any Diesel fuel in it. About a £5iver if I was lucky 35 miles.
Following day I drove from South Wales to Cinderford (WYE Valley) and down to Mileford On Sea, OMG it was a nervous journey.
Little red dot on the lower dashboard behind the gear change if light didn't come on on dash would say Suspension fault.
It went into Limp home mode 30mph and I was literally 5 miles from pet dog delivery.
Needleless to say it got me there and it got me home.
I love the car and I've used it over the winter because the mileage seems really low at just 112.300 when I bought it fuel wise I find it reasonable but I am far from a slow driver..
I Would love to drive it to London..so comfy..

I recently sold mine. Bought it 79000 and sold it with 96000, in fact I gave it away.
I have to admit, I do miss it. Fantastic motor and the best range rover by a country mile. Sad times

I’d have thought thirty quid in the tank and a decent clean is good, I’d have thought thirty notes in the tank for a private purchase would be a good deal!
