Stihl makes really awesome saws and equipment. I had a stihl concrete saw that was a damn beast. When it finally got too tired I rebuilt it and sold it off after I quit doing concrete work. It is still out there working hard to this day! For what I use a chainsaw for these days, I couldn't throw something that nice in my truck box to bang around in there. lol Nice saw Rich, that saw will last a very long time and parts to rebuild them are easy to get.

MS250 is a great little saw I’ve got one myself. I swapped out the stock muffler for a older 025 muffler (larger outlet) and that really woke it up.

MS250 is a good saw. Had several, but eventually moved on to MS261cm with 18" bar. It is lighter and more powerful. If you could only own one chainsaw....the ms261cm is the one to have. Also run 2 MS362's with 20" and 24" bar. Have bigger saws, but for majority of work the ms261 is used. My 75 year old father can cut all day long dropping trees and cutting firewood using the ms261. Weight is your biggest enemy, if you carry a saw all day long.

yep. mentioned my friend who was a stihl guy. all he did was trees. unless he came to one of my home remodeling jobs. he's gone now.. great friend. he had a stihl with a 36" bar. what a beast it was. his chipper? holy cats! 24' long, cummins turbo 6cyl and really would take a 36" tree trunk. one day he needed to adjust the belt on his chipper, it was a leather belt, shocked me. i said, damn man, leather?? stihl is the best, but again, he still liked my little husquvarna. affordability, dependability and comfort of the saw matters. you have been fantastic at pointing it out, and keeping it real.

Used Stihl all my life. Have their battery blower and weed whacker. Chains are sharp, that is key.

Bought the exact same one over the summer. I had a break from work and went ham in my yard. Had a bunch of Pines that needed to go. The thing is a beast! A solid purchase.

Aaaah Stihl, I have a MS250, awesome saw. Bought mine 7 years ago for $250 Canadian on sale. Those days are gone thanks to banksters of Canada printing dollars

A real chain saw right there I got mine (250) bout a year ago. I built a 180c from 4 rentals 18 years ago and it still fires off on 3 pulls.

In January of ‘09 we had a terrible ice storm and trees were down everywhere. Literally couldn’t get down the roads. After the roads were a little bit open I got a new ms250. Still have it to this day and still a good saw. Hard as fk to start cold tho. It doesn’t have any place on a logging job but it’s a great homeowner’s occasional-use saw

That has to be the quickest cold start of a Stihl I've ever seen. Looks like that saw has some compression to it.

Great saws, I have four Stihls from a 460 down to a 009. Come on out to Northern Cal I could use some help, still have three 18 inch to 3ft diameter oaks on the ground from last years snow storm.

Stihl is by far the best equipment around. My father-in-law runs a construction clean-up business and it's all he has now. I am moving from Husqvarna to Stihl now myself. Husqvarna was good, but every year they give me issues. I run only E0 in my stuff and the carb is never gummed up, it's always silly things elsewhere.

I have a 025 that's about 30 years old. The only thing I did was to change plug .I don't use it because it's too small .I use a 461 with a 20 inch bar and a 660 with a 28 inch bar.

When it comes to chainsaws, Sthil is probably the best. I still want to get the EGO chainsaw to go with the rest of my equipment.
