Why hasn't anyone, including Charity, explained to Vanessa that her idea of what actually happened between Charity and Mac is seriously flawed? It's not "complicated". Vanessa was effectively ignoring Charity at the time ( most seriously, in my opinion, about her "all clear" appointment. Charity should have been there! Or, at the very least, known it was happening) allowing Charity to become paranoid that Vanessa wasn't coming back. Tracy knew that. Charity has never denied that the kiss was the biggest, most stupid mistake of her life but, at the time, that was all that happened. After their split, Charity was totally out of control and drunk for weeks. She was NOT in any sort of relationship with Mac until months later. And only at all "seriously" when she heard that Vanessa had a new girlfriend. Vanessa seems to think that, after the kiss, Charity and Mac have been a happy couple ever since. That is NOT what happened so why hasn't anyone - Tracy, Rhona (they saw the state she was in) and Charity herself - explained that to Vanessa? It is hugely significant
