I knew a lab that learned to jump in the pool to short out the collar and then take off.

A friends dogs would go up to the fence. The collar would vibrate before shocking them. They would lay down until the batteries were dead then, go their merry way.

My labradoodle learned he could lay down near the fence, where the collar beeps but not shock. This would wear down the battery quickly, when it stopped beeping, he was gone.😂

I dunno.. I drive school bus. There is a boy on my route who has a yellow lab and an invisible fence. The dog knows he can't get to the driveway, the boy is out there every morning playing with him. When he gets on the bus, the dog runs along where the fence obviously is and then stops before the edge of it while barking and such, every morning. Like I said, he also knows on the other side where he can't get to the driveway. It works for this yellow lab, at least.
