Spot on. I live in Buckhead 30327 and I don’t think people know how big Buckhead is. I love how you highlighted the neighborhood of Buckhead vs downtown Buckhead. Truly a hidden gem in the city of Atlanta.

Commutes are not easy between Alpharetta and Atlanta, unless your commute is Sunday morning 🌅 around sunrise! Think traffic jam!

I grew up in 30328, Sandy Springs. Off Riverside Drive, 285 area. I’ve watch every part of Atlanta evolve. Holcomb Bridge was considered the boonies back in the early ‘70s.

For people that don't know, 30327 is more of Sandy Springs and some of Buckhead/Paces.

We just moved to 30066. We moved from South Florida (Sarasota) 2.5 years ago and wanted to make sure we were in a good area for school since our son was 3 years old. He’s now 5 and we’re happy to have in a a great public school zone for next year. What I like most is the diversity here even in Metro Atlanta. It’s a big difference from where we moved. I work in Buckhead and it’s only like 25-30 mins for me. I love going through the back roads of Chastain park. Honestly, those homes are out of magazines. Always inspires me so it was great to see that come in as #1 because I definitely have seen with my own two eyes why it made it to the top.

Live in Roswell near the river. Love living here. Town was much smaller when I moved here 28 years ago.

No mention of Decatur...City of Decatur Schools, lots of the same amenities and it’s much closer to the city than Alpharetta/Milton, Roswell or East Cobb. Having to commute GA400 and the top end perimeter(285) is always BRUTAL! Those areas are nice but that drive is gonna get old really quick. City of Decatur averages 7-8 miles from Downtown, Midtown and Buckhead. Also, much closer to the airport which is HUGE for those folks who are always press for time tying to catch a flight.

I'm surprised Sandy springs, and Duluth didn't make this list.

Yea, I used to live in Alpharetta, and it is 30 miles from Atlanta to Alpharetta, BUT it takes over an hour to go from Alpharetta to Atlanta during rush hours. But yea, Alpharretta is a beautiful place to live and it's more populous than the previous decades. I was also shocked that you didn't include John's Creek on the list which borders Alpharetta. John's Creek used to be #1 on many list.

Lived in downtown Atlanta 1970-1975 (ugh!). Moved to Alpharetta in 1975 when it had nothing but a walk-up Dairy Queen, an Exxon station and mom and pop store. GA 400 was only two lanes. Holcomb Bridge literally had a two lane bridge. Windward was nothing but agriculture and horse farms. Obviously I saw Alpharetta evolve into what it is today. Because of the wealth in Alpharetta, we were the cash cow to downtown Atlanta. Love Alpharetta but very expense to live there.

Nice video! Aside from #1, the other 4 neighborhoods are definitely not the wealthiest in Atlanta. For me, the wealthiest neighborhoods are Buckhead, Ansley Park, and Historic Druid Hills, all old money neighborhoods. An empty lot in Ansley Park is over a million dollar.

I love the Avalon area. A friend use to live over there

Good video! To be clear (for those who may not know), numbers 2 - 5 are metropolitan Atlanta cities/areas. They are not ATL proper. Lived in Alpharetta for nearly 6 years (‘03 - ‘08). It was beautiful. Loved living there. Lived there when the city of Milton was established as a former part of Alpharetta …

Where does gainesville ga rank on this ?

None of these, minus Chastain Park could be considered Atlanta. These are metro Atlanta suburbs. When you say neighborhoods, you think of Inman Park, Candler Park, Virginia Highland, etc.

This is more about Suburbs than neighborhoods. I was expecting neighborhoods within the city limits of Atlanta. Buckhead, Morningside, Virginia Highlands etc.

True story, post Katrina I moved my family to a rental in East Cobb. Once they rebuilt I bought my first home in 30075 on 07' sold that in 2016 and bought my current home in 30005 in 2018 which has almost tripled in value. It is truly amazing over here. If they build this planned NHL Hockey Stadium next to Halcyon Im hoping it will mean a 5x value for me

Nice video. I live in 30188 - Woodstock, and I am right above East Cobb, and 7 miles west of Roswell, and I used to commute to Alpharetta for work, so I know these areas well.

I live close to Atlanta and I'm familiar with most of the areas you're discussing. You give great info to people looking to move to the Metro area, but you might want to include the
major medical centers in different areas. I'm a retired RN and have had medical care at many Metro hospitals, or have taken family members or referred patients to these centers.
Oh, don't forget Emory University and all their services, or the marvelous Children's Healthcare of Atlanta! Thought this might be useful for your customers and for your
sales!💕🍑
