Kevin Fiala gets traded to the Kings for a 1st and Brock Faber. It looks like Rob Blake has found his goal scoring Winger the team desperately needs.

On paper Fiala is a far more dynamic player than either Brown or Iafallo. He's not afraid to take on 2 or 3 players single-handedly. It also gives the Kopi line 3 puck carriers that can skate through the neutral zone and maintain possession crossing the blue line.

It slots Iafallo into where he should play. He was an average 1st line left winger that will be an exceptional 3rd liner.

I think the entire forward group is now slotted where every player should slot.

Overall good trade for the Kings. Buyer beware, Fiala failed miserably in Wilds's last three playoff seasons when the team needed his scoring most. No doubt about his abilities, but he needs to perform when it counts the most.

It sucks to lose Faber, my guess is the conversation between him and Blake must not have gone all that well. The impression is he really wanted to stay there, so getting a Fiala out of him is a plus. However, we need a defenseman, we need a Chychrun more than anything, I'm hearing they want to bring back Edler, which is great, but that's not improving the left D. We need to find cap space and pull off that Chychrun deal. If we are really trying to shape this team out, and trading a guy like Faber, I'm ready to trade both Bjornfot and Durzi in a package for Chychrun to complete the defensive core. You still have Clarke, Spence, Grans, Kirsanov, Moverare coming up which is more than enough.
