Important point to note: It's been implied in the middle of the story that Sora might have actually lost her digivice before Taichi and Yamato. That's the reason why she chose not to help the gang in the initial battle. And she might have already lost Biyomon during the final fight.

What do you guys think about it? I'm sorry I might have missed this bit in my initial watch of the movie, and I might have judged sora too harshly. However, I really find it weird that Sora didn't inform the gang about this entire situation. A digivice turning to stone is not something which happens often. So I just feel that it was a contrived situation to build up tension in the movie. It's certainly sad, but what are your thoughts about it?

Also, do you still feel that the 02 epilogue stands true? Please share your thoughts.

This hurts so much... I wanted them to stay together...😭😭😭 I know we all gotta grow up at some point (I'm 27) but it doesn't mean that saying goodbye or losing those you care for greatly doesn't hurt any less...

I cried like a baby and I’m 27. I feel like the ending hurt so much cause we know they get back together. We know that Agumon comes back and works with Tai. The 02 ending is in the works some how. No different universe nothing. The only Parallel universe is the new series.

And that’s my next topic the ending of the movie “we will have new and more adventures” they was setting us up for the reboot “if we saw it on time in the theaters”. But I also feel like that’s an open ended plot for the 02 ending. They said they’re gonna be together forever then Gahh damn they gonna be together forever. I didn’t have a Charizard as a kid, I had a Greymon.

Anime and games are still me, my life. Yea we gotta grow up but we don’t have to let go of what made us, us. The ending hurt and he did that on purpose. But I still play all the Digimon games and I will always have Agumon

Just finished watching Last Evolution Kizuna 😥👍🏽 The battle scenes were 🔥, the subtle parts of NOSTALGIA peppered in (pepper breath...🔥) were on point. The villain was creepy AF...and kinda hot. This movie was BETTER than the Tri movies combined.

I just finished watching the movie myself and now I came here for support. Also, I'm 34 and grew up with Digimon and kept up with all the Adventure movies of recent years. ♥️

Farewell shows are bullshit just like bands breaking up and then reuniting again, I'm still optimistic that Toei will make another sequel at least after this, there's still heaps of potential for good stories to be made in the 18 years from 2010 to 2028 (02 epilogue) and also I heard the reboot hasn't been critically well received.

!!SPOILER ALERT!!
According to many reviews and theories, this was supposed to be a sequel to 01 and tri, but it doesn't make sense because the epilouge of 2 shows everyone as adults and their partner digimons are still with them. And then there are also theories that said that this happened in parallel universe. If that's the case then it's a poor excuse.

I know the movie was trying to tell us that when we grow up we should move on and never forget our childhood in our memories but as a 90's who have grown up watching every single digimon series, its freaking sad. It just doesn't sit right with me. I wish they could have end it with a happy note.

The part where agumon's eyes got all teary and said "Taichi, you're all grown up now" and the next thing we know both agumon and gabumon just poof gone into the wind. That really hits me hard. I cried like there's no tomorrow. I am an adult and I still feel that I am a kid. Games and animes are still my thing. It is still with me till now so I don't think we need to give up our childhood when growing up. Well, I can't speak for everyone. Just my two cents though.

I don’t know about the 02 ending still being endgame but if the series wanted to take that route, they left it open to do so. The ending was sad and my eyes got watery but it felt right.

Sora lost Biyomon before the final battle. When she wishes them luck Biyomon isn’t with her, and her digivice is faded. Plus in the credit scenes you see the others, and the Digimon aren’t in the scenes, except for Gatomon and Patamon.

I had to mentally prepare to see this. I refused to for a while because I knew what was coming. The second Agumon and Gabumon vanished, I couldn’t stop balling. I’m 27, and Digimon brought forth so much emotion in me growing up. It’s unbelievable how badly it stung, trying to grasp this conclusion. You want new adventures, and you can’t imagine the journey ending when it’s been inside you since childhood. I need some help here, I am not okay!! 😭😂

Watched the movie yesterday.
Damn it made me tear up. Been watching digimon since childhood and now I'm 21. It is just too close to my heart.
I'm happy that we still have the Digimon Adventure 2020 reboot to watch 😊

Im just 9 when i watch adventure and 02 btw is agumon and gabumon the only Digimon partner to evolve beyond mega without fusion or is it still consider mega because mega is the highest, Or kizuna (bonds) is a new level btw i thought the ending is going to be omnimon fighting and getting help by other Digi destined

There was a big big interview with the guy in charge of the kizuna movie and he confirmed that the epologue of Adventure 02 was still true to the story which is cool bc now i dont feel guilty for not feeling sad at the end of this movie

I watched the full movie last night and was sobbing so bad, even this video of yours made me cry, every single Kizuna related thing is doing the same to me... Just like the very last scene of Adventure 1 did to me well it still does whenever i watch that part... I was really happy with Tri, never wanted to see something this heart breaking... I dun know if I'll ever be able to rewatch the movie...
