Drop test between the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max to see which phone is more durable.

TEST NOTES:
- The standard drops (back, corner, and face) are conducted from 1m onto a concrete block.
- The "bonus" drops are meant to test impact and shock resistance, therefore are conducted from 1.45m onto a smooth steel surface.
- The footage of the iPhone 13 Pro Max was from a previous drop test.

Would love to see the s22 or the s22 plus in this test. Flat displays should help a lot

He is the only youtuber who does the drop test as we want. Love your videos

i feel like the iphone has come a long way from being known as the least durable and worst battery, and now the durability is so much better and it’s the phone buff battery champ

Beautifully done test. At some point id love to see some kind of scratch test other than the Mohs test. Things like sand, Lint, and bringing in and out of pocket.

Dropped my iPhone 13 Pro Max in my work parking lot the other day. It was face down too. I do have a Spigen case and Spigen tempered glass screen protector. I couldn’t pick it up, just looked at it laying on concrete for a while. Picked it up and no damage, screen protector little scratched but all is well. Couldn’t imagine if the phone was not protected.

Watching it on my S22 Ultra and I was expecting a similar result!😅

Always great drop tests. I was waiting for comment on a comparison to last years S21 Ultra

I'm pretty surprised of how far Apple has improved the durability on their iPhone, at first i was pretty skeptical that they would even survive the second drop

🔹 In fact, both are very durable. even though the S22 has a curved back, it held up well. but it would be better if they make the windshield flat like s22 and s22 plus now.

Bottom line conclusion: You can't defeat the laws of physics and you can break anything when dropped right!

I also think the s22 plus will do better than the ultra, bcoz is light weight and has a flat screen.

I always put a case of any phone I own. I honestly just watch these videos to see expensive stuff break.

5:30 They both have their faces broken but it sounds like: You should see the other guy.

You should start without the cement, and then add that. Or at least start lower

Damn, I am dreaming of owning a flagship device ever but PhoneBuff doing some durability test with brandnew units every now and then.

Will you test the smaller S22? Since this year the S22 and S22+ seem much better deals compared to last year S21 and S21+ on the opposite the S21U did better than S22U did this year in first impression, S21U seemed overall more solid and held up much better...

Yes, having a flat screen gave the iphone the edge but that's their design choice. Samsung went with a curved screen and that's their choice too (you can't eat your cake and have it back). The most important thing is you know how a curved and a flat screen fair in real life usage, not necessarily which is stronger, they are both strong. This is a matter of design choice. Well made video.
