Preparation Time: 10 Mins
Recipe: Multi-Purpose Spice Mix Powder
Ingredients:
Dry Red Chilies – 12 (Remove the seeds of the chilies)
Fenugreek seeds – 1/4th Tsp
Whole Spices:
Bay Leaves – 2
Star Anise – 2
Black Cardamom – 2
Mace/ Javitri – 2 – 3 pieces
Cinnamon sticks – 4 (1 Inch)
Cloves – 6 – 7
Green Cardamom – 10
Nutmeg – 2 Small Pieces
Bengal Gram – 1.5 Tbsp (Chana Dal)
Black peppercorns – 1 Tbsp
Coriander Seeds – 2 Tbsp
Cumin Seeds – 1 Tsp
Yellow Mustard seeds – 1.5 Tbsp
Caraway Seeds – 1 Tsp (Shahi Jeera)
Fennel Seeds – 1 Tbsp
Turmeric Powder – 1 Tsp
Dry Ginger Powder – 1 Tsp
Dry Mango Powder – 3/4th Tsp
Black Salt – 3/4th Tsp
Kitchen King Masala is an all-purpose spice powder. Today I have shared a detailed video recipe of Kitchen King Masala. This is one of the basic & essential Indian spice mix powder which is used as a taste enhancer for most of the recipes. This is Typically used to prepare dry & gravy based Indian Curries, as it is aromatic & flavorful & makes the dish wonderfully delicious.
You can easily prepare it in a large batch & store them in freezer but if you are making them in a small amount then you can just store them in an airtight container in room temperature up to one month or in fridge for more then 3 to 4 months.
Tips to prepare Spice Mix:
1. Always make sure you do not burn the spices just roast them on a low heat.
2. After Roasting all the spices just allow them to cool down completely before you grind them to a fine powder.
3. Before you transfer them into a jar, or a container transfer them into a plate & rest for about 20 – 30 minutes.
