Thank you for this amazing beginner's guide to building a satellite as a civilian. You made the unfathomable seem approachable.

Bro casually just built a satellite and explained it like it was building legos...

Unreal. This is exactly what YouTube in 2024 should be. Mark is raising IQ's in kids and adults in an entertaining way with such ambition, its truly motivational. Imagine winning and going to watch the launch. Life changing

I recently graduated college with my Aerospace Engineering degree, and this is exactly what we do in my university's NanoSat Lab. You perfectly explained everything at an introductory level better than I ever could. Bravo, Mark. I'm going to share this with all my layman friends to show them what its like in my world.

Mark casually explains space engineering like it’s IKEA furniture. "Just add solar panels and a flywheel!"

The fact that a squirrel pretty much has a satellite named after them is crazy!

A few years ago I watched Mark's first video about the squirrels, I had no idea that Gus is going to go that far😂

This is the best video you’ve ever made to me (except maybe the reaction to the Perseverance rover’s landing, that was priceless). Not only is this is a ‘simple’ yet super cool idea to get kids excited about space, you also go to the trouble to fully explain what goes into building, testing and launching a functioning satellite in an understandable way. I’ve been following SpaceX for years, so seeing their constant mission to decrease launch costs enable actual space missions by ‘everyday people’ like this one is amazing too. Huge props to you, your audience, your team and everyone else who made this possible! Go SAT GUS!

This is excellent. As a former NASA structural dynamicist (the shaking to death part) this is the best description of vibration and dynamics I've seen. Awesome job @mark! :)

Mark is just running a "small" experiment before sending himself up there!

As a high school astronomy teacher, I will be showing this to all of my classes and taking a selfie with each class. May have to combine them into 1 or 2 photos though.

Love this return to science over spectacle, by using the premise of absurd spectacle. Its a win win.

I just wanted to thank you for making Science so freaking cool that my two daughters love doing the build boxes. I realize now that I had Mr.Wizard and now they have you. You rule and I hope one day my girls and myself have the pleasure of meeting you.
