Komplete Kontrol MK2 Overview/Demo w/ Daniel & Leroy from NI
The Komplete Kontrol S49 and S61 has just been upgrade to the MK2 edition, and every one of the many changes and redesigns makes it easier to use, more helpful, more informative, and able to connect and interface with more software and hardware.
It’s a pretty big deal.
The most obvious change is the addition of two huge, high-definition colour displays, which have a gorgeous range of information, from scrolling through instruments, engines, sounds, samples, effects, patterns, scales, and so much more, and everything is bright, crisp, and looks phenomenal.
This leads into the integration with the Maschine software, and a bank of buttons designed to give you easy access to scenes, patterns, tracks, etc, and a built-in DAW transport control, for its integration and mapping with LogicX, Ableton Live, Garageband, and with Cubase and Nuendo on the way soon
On the hardware, they’ve brought in pitch and mod wheels, kept the touch-sensitive control strip, added a scroll-knob/four way joystick combi, and tweaked the keyboard lighting, to make it a little more precise and easier to process visually, and the whole effect is a keyboard that’s smart, state-of-the-art, and doing everything possible to make music production and creation as easy, intuitive, and enjoyable an experience as possible!
