Bikepacking In The Uk - The Lake District Tour - England

We cycled and hiked around the Lake District over three day's, including two nights camping. We covered 85 miles, both on road and off, with an elevation of 10667 ft. First day of the tour we started at Gummers Howe (Windermere), then around to Claife Heights, up and over Tarn Howes to Chaple Style, with the challenges of monsoon weather and 7ft ferns! The following morning, we were straight into the gruelling triple mountain pass, Blea Tarn, 30% Wynose and the 33% Hardknotts pass, but rewarded with amazing descents and views. After a well deserved pint in Boot, we headed over to Wasdale Head, and then pushed and carried our bikes up and over Dry Tarn, just below the summit of Great Gable to our next camp site in Borrowdale. The third morning, we set off via Stonethwaite, and worked our way up and over Lining Pike, and a long decent into Grassmere. Check our route out on the Strava links below.. Enjoy this video in HD.
