I mastered this tune (and the album) at The Hit Factory NYC. Won Grammy's for Best Pop Album & Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

I used to consider this song a guilty pleasure but I no longer feel any guilt.

I’m a 55 year old guy and my 9 year old daughter introduced me to this song when she was learning the drum pattern. I was utterly blown away by this track and I’ve been telling people how great it is ever since! My daughter is now 24 and a pro drummer and multi-instrumentalist and we still listen to this song regularly. You made our day with this WMTSG, Rick! Thank you!

“Played by humans” is my favorite Rick Beato phrase. It sounds simple but means something.

Finding out how complex these songs are is mind-blowing! Thank you, Rick.

I love how Rick's face lights up when he's explaining a clever progression no matter the genre. Pure joy.

I’ve been defiantly calling this a great *rock* song for years despite all the flack so honestly hearing Rick say the same thing feels so validating.

You know what’s great about Rick? He NEVER acts too cool or snobbish. If it’s good music he’ll appreciate it, regardless of the artist or time period the music was written.

How amazing would be if Rick interviewed Max Martin???

Dear Rick

I wish you'd live forever and teach the future generations as well😂

I have no idea what Rick is talking about but I can listen to him all day.

After watching this - went back and watched some of Kelly Clarkson's live performances and her vocals are simply ridiculously strong. Difficult to even grasp how good. People who bash her simply because she was on Idol - those are not music lovers who do that.

I love Slayer, Metallica, Mastodon, man, I loved this track. 😂

she's one of the best singers of the past 20 years so it was always gonna be difficult to find another as good

Note the happiness on Rick's face as he goes through this. He is TRULY ENJOYING himself while dissecting the track. Keep spreading happiness, RIck - people REALLY need it!

That whole album is great. Kelly is an absolute powerhouse, sang all those multiple vocal parts herself. The production is top notch. "Behind These Hazel Eyes" is a real standout track too. And I agree, she's better than anyone else who ever was on that show.

Breakaway is a great album. My kids in the 2000’s were Kelly Clarkson fans. We booked to see her perform in South Africa. I was blown away by the quality of her and the band’s performance. Drummer was phenomenal. Another great song choice Rick.

I'm a 57 year old rock and roll guy but Kelly is a tremendous singer. Saw her perform live in 2012 and she killed it. Well done, Rick.

Rick just casually has the original stems for this song LOL what a legend

Kelly is ridiculously underrated as a singer. When you hear her sing now, she doesn’t have that super high belty range from 20 years ago, but she’s replaced that with soul and feel. In some ways, I think she’s a better singer now which is super impressive
