Summer was just too short, so why don't we have a little extra by creating our own lil Art Summer Camp! I may not have any s'mores or mosquito bites, but I do have plenty of artmaking to share :)

My teachers in art school always tried to teach me how important the overall shapes and composition are & I never got it and always lost myself in tiny details. But when I discovered your art, I fell in love with overall shapes and abstract shapes because your art spoke to me on a whole different level❤ Thank you so much for this! - a German art girl

I also stow canvases below my couch and behind my mirror! Love the idea of an art summer camp — I will try it for winter :)

10:20 ripped the seams of my belly laughing. It's truly a marvel how even the best artists have imposter syndrome. That painting wasn't done yet and I was liking where it was going. Your cars are truly well- illustrated. I especially love to see your thought-process in your drawings. Your oft hilarious commentaries are illustrations in themselves; I will not be surprised if your decided to write a book yourself (I imagine with your illustrations as well). Your book reviews are a gem. I have long given up watching your videos as backgrounds and immediately look forward to your next as soon as your last ends. Thank you.

Your cat jumping on you is such a mood 😂 My cat weighs about 6.6 kg (about 14 pounds?) and I can 100% relate to the noise you made ahaha
I just found your channel, and I really enjoyed your video and your art! The way you captured figure/movement with such simple lines is so intriguing.

Its so relaxing watching you draw and seeing all the shapes and colours come together, so satisfying and inspirational. You definitely make me want to start drawing again!

You’re very brave for allowing the pencil shavings right on your working space, I wouldn’t be able to stand the mess and I would worry that I might sneeze and spread them all around.

Love the narration. Also love seeing your thriving garden of house plants! Well done!!

I totally sympathize with your car dilemma, and admire the active practice (I find that's the hardest part). Your car studies are so wonderful and the perfect amount of wonky :) Love your work!

So happy to see another video. I always enjoy watching you work, seeing snippets of where you live, your travels and listening to your commentary. I had to share about "baby puke green". I call it baby "poo" green. My living room walls are a slightly more muddy gold version of that color and it's fabulous with the 1970s gold and green striped velvet couch, the dark wood Spanish style furniture and the rust and honey colored accents. I'm guessing it's going to be the next "on trend" color. Looking forward to your next video.

I really loved this video. Seeing your work an process is very inspiring and really makes me want to explore my own art drawing. (Also that baby puke green is also one of my favourite colours!) :-)

I'm hoping this "art summer camp" idea catches on here in the YouTube art world. This was the most laid-back art video I've seen in a while. If I see one more thumbnail of a video promising to help me "level-up my art game"...!! btw, toward the end, I noticed that with all this experimenting you were doing, there was not a single scratch-out. It kind of looks like you draw with intention every time you make a line, or am I missing something?
