I kept getting confused with signs and that was because no one explained it as simply as you. Thank you so much for the visual representation and great explanation

Thank you so much
You just simplified it in a very fantastic manners.
Which alsoultly clear my all doubts regarding this direction.

In the second example there was a force RA acting on the beam below point A. In case we were taking moments about point C will the force RA cause clockwise or counterclockwise rotation of the beam?

in the cantilevered beam why is Ma counterclockwise?

as you show the force is downwards so the moment should be clockwise.

In the first example (0:28), you describe the Bending Moment in the direction of the applied force (clockwise) around point A – which in my eyes makes absolute sense. The same goes for the Momentum around point C (1:19; counter-clockwise in the direction of the applied force: negative Y-axis). So far, so good. But at 2:07, the beam would bend downwards in negative Y-axis (in the direction of the force vector). Yet, you sketched M_A counter-clockwise around point A, so the Momentum is showing completely in the opposite direction as explained in your first example. Why is that?

Thank you so much . I have a question regarding this subject how can i determine this direction if the fulcrum is a point and a force pull it to the left or right not up and down it also sometimes result forming an angle how can i know its direction .THANKS AGAIN!

So what shoupd we do if force is on middle of rod !? Then how will we determine it

What direct would the moment have cause by a forced that comes out of c horizontally to the right then?

Hey, thanks for the video. So is it always a point on the left is clockwise, and a point on the right is anti-clockwise? Also, what is the importance of it being clockwise or anti clockwise when calculating the 3 equations of equilibrium? Thanks.
