This video captures a brief demo of a modded Marshall 1962 Bluesbreaker.

The sound samples capture the same chord sequence played at different pre-amp volume settings for increasing levels of overdrive. It starts at 4, then 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. The Master Volume setting remains the same at 1.

The tone settings are: Presence: 0, Bass: 0, Middle: 10, Treble: 0. This is for the Parker NiteFly with DiMarzio Virtual Vintage 54 Pro noiseless single coil pickups. For humbuckers, I set Presence: 5.

The mic is an M-Audio Solaris big diaphragm with phantom power supplied by an iCicle USB converter into a Mac Pro running Garage Band with video created by iMovie.

The Marshall Bluesbreaker was modded: 1) add a Master Volume; 2) to use a JCM 800 style amp layout; 3) to use KT66 tubes and a GZ34 tube rectifier; 4) the Tremolo was deactivated; 5) a foot switchable 2nd Master Volume setting was added (MV1 via Speed, MV2 via Intensity).

This amp can now produce rich overdrive at bedroom volumes reminding me of an amp that looks and sounds like a mini version of Jimi Hendrix's Super 100 stack.
